Wesley Kay,

You are 11 weeks old! And last week you went to see Dr. Martin.  She gave you your 2 month vaccinations.  Yikes!  But you took them better than your Mommy or Daddy!  You had no negative reactions and we are so grateful for that!  But, we have to go back in 6 weeks and do it again.  Ugh!  It’s tough growing up;)  Anyway, here are your stats: 

12lbs 3oz (72%)…yay!  

23.2in long (71%)  and your head circumference is 14.75 (9%)

Dr. Martin says you are doing great! 

Early on in your life you started napping in your crib.  Well, last night you slept all night in your crib!  Such a big girl!  You might not fair so well tonight but we’ll see.

We also had Easter since I last blogged.  You looked so sweet and were so good at church.  We went to Aunt Jane’s for lunch.  You got lots of loving there!  The Easter bunny also came to see you!  You are really going to appreciate he and Santa Claus soon!

Your Mommy also had a birthday this week!  She turned 33!  Wow!  Anyway you and her went to church and to lunch with your favorite cousins Riley and Harper.  Riley really had you talking and playing!

Do you like these pretty pink shoes?  They were your Mommy’s when she was about your size.  So glad you can wear them!  Your Daddy was fishing on Mommy’s birthday, so Nana and Papaw kept you Tuesday night while Mommy and Daddy went to dinner to celebrate her belated birthday.  The company was better than dinner!  We had a good time!  Mommy got a NICE new camera for her birthday too.  She cannot wait to learn how to use it and share wonderful pictures of you!  You keep growing and we’ll update again soon!!

Wesley Kay is 2 months old!

Can you believe it?!?! Happy birthday sweet baby! You really are a sweet thing and you still sleep so good. You moved up to size 1 diapers about two weeks ago and you can wear 3 month clothes comfortably. You are just the right size and feel so good in my arms! You also started smiling! You like to talk and smile on the changing table that is on the pack-n-play. You really like this spot! I hope you always like your diaper changed:) You drink 4 ounces of formula every 2 1/2-3 hours during the day. Your naps aren't very long but that's ok because you sleep so good at night. Here are some of your pictures from the last week....

 

I promise it was a good St. Patrick's Day...but it's nap time here! Look at the green dress Sandra made for Riley.  You got to borrow it!

Spring Break

Well we don't really get Spring Breaks around here but Wesley's cousins do and they went snow skiing at Taos this week. Hopefully, one day, they will teach Wesley how to snow ski!

7 weeks old

Wesley, you had a big weekend! Friday you went to see Dr. Martin again. Here are your stats...11 lbs, that's 73%, 22.5in, that's 74% and your head circumference is 14.25% which is 8% but Dr. Martin says don't worry about the head size. She says that's no indication for how very smart you're gonna be! She told Mommy and Daddy they have small heads so it's no wonder you do too! You also got one shot and a new formula and medicine. The formula and medicine will help with your reflux, which she says will go away. And you're taking your medicine like a big girl!! The shot was tough for your Mommy and Daddy though! They saw real tears from you for the first time! Like I say, you're a good baby and don't cry much at all! And you're sleeping so good!!! Sleeping through the night! And you are smiling! You went to Cameron's wedding Saturday. Wasn't she beautiful?!?! I think this flat wore you out because you slept from 9:30-7:20...that's including the time change. Then you went to church again Sunday. Everyone would say,"what a pretty baby!"We think so too! Here are some of your pictures. We love you!

Proof that we are busy!

Wesley Kay is 6 weeks old today!  Can you believe it?  Wesley, "You are such a good baby!" 

She had her first "real" outing yesterday.  She went to church with us and then to lunch at Mazzio's.  Whew!  That was enough for Mommy but I think Wesley enjoyed all of the attention.  She has SO many admirers.  Here are some pictures as of late.

This is a beautiful dress that your Nan's good friend Sandra made.  The slip even has your name stitched on it.

This picture is about 6 1/2 weeks old but I don't think I've shared it.  Can't wait to post a final picture!

We have cabinets!  And they are being painted and stained as we speak!

Here is the proof that Hines' builders are hard at it to get this house finished!

 

And look!  Scott had time yesterday to stop and pick daffodil's for me and Wesley.  Love it!
