My Little Hog Fan

We enjoyed taking Wesley to her first Razorback football game! Thank you David and Beverly for sharing your suite with us! Sure makes taking a nearly 8 month old to a football game easy!!! And even though we skipped tailgating, I think Wesley really enjoyed herself!
We left early Friday and toured Crystal Bridges Museum in Bentonville. It is a very nice attraction for Northwest Arkansas. We needed more time because I'm certain we missed a few things. Maybe we should plan to return. Although I'm not sure Wesley will be as patient with us next year!
Dinner Friday night was an all around success. Mister B's in Bentonville has an excellent filet! Our dinner party had so many good compliments for Wesley too! I hope her restaurant behavior stays this good for many years to come!
While I didn't watch much of the game, I'm sure I didn't miss too much...our Hogs have a long road ahead of them if they continue to play the way I understand they did Saturday. Wesley will learn in time, it's tough to be a Razorback fan! But nonetheless, I bet she will appreciate a good hog call:)

Dear Summer,

You have been a great first summer! We've been to the lake, to Branson, and even built a nice new house (pics to follow soon). We've celebrated some great family members birthdays with you and even a 1/2 birthday for Wesley Kay. We've been swimming and strolling and can't wait for our teeth to show themselves. They're tough little things on us! We've had many good times playing with family and friends! We look forward to a future summer where we can see the beach for the first time and maybe a trip to the happiest place on Earth...Disney world! For now, we can't wait to call the Hogs at our first Razorback football game, spend the night in our brand new house and show off some really cute fall outfits! The holidays are going to be extra special for us this year too! We have so much to be thankful for! So see ya next year Summer!
Love you,
The Hines family of 3
P.S. Please come back soon XOXO

Wesley Kay is 7 months old!

Wesley Kay, you are 7 months old now and full of smiles and laughs! You love to play "crawly bug" (don't quote me on that spelling), peek-a-boo, and you look just like a big girl sitting and playing with your toys. Where has our newborn gone?? You have had all of the stage 1 fruits and vegetables and on the menu this weekend...wait for it....ham and gravy, chicken and rice and other meat combinations! If you're anything like your Momma, you will love your meat and potatoes! We're going to Branson with Papa Wayne, Uncle Bryan, Aunt Kelly, Riley and Harper this weekend for Papa Wayne's birthday. So I'm sure we will have great pictures to share. You started staying with a new babysitter this week too. Her name is Mrs. Shirley Deerman. I can tell she already loves you and you really seem to enjoy her company too but, who do you not like? She compliments you every afternoon! Your Daddy said "she should pay us to keep you!" We will miss Mrs. Justi but know you are in such loving hands with Mrs. Shirley. You still wear a size 3 diaper and continue to take 5 bottles/day with about 30 oz of formula. Most of your clothes are 6-9 months but you are still comfortable in most 6 months. Speaking of clothes, I can't wait for all of the sweet fall outfits and oh my!...the holiday outfits are the best! We really need to start brainstorming for a cute Halloween costume! The carnival will be here before we know it! Enjoy your 7 month pictures. They are becoming more eventful with the passing months:)
Stay sweet,
Your #1 Mom

What is good about a blog without an adorable 6 month photo shoot post?!?! This baby is precious!  I think Justi captured some of our favorite faces!  Enjoy!

6 Month Check Up

This is how our six month check up started.

6 month check up

And it didn’t end any better!  My goodness, we made you mad!  I don’t think you got your nap out for starters and then with four shots it just went downhill from there.  I’d cry too if I was learning all these new things, teething, sleepy and four needle sticks in my thighs!  But learning is the name of the game lately.  Wesley, you are trying to hold your bottle, rolling over and scooting, playing with your feet, sitting alone for a short period, babbling (we’ll discuss this later;), and even bearing weight on your little legs.  You are fascinated with your shadow and still love Baby Einstein.  Here are your stats:  Height:  26.75 in (81%), Weight: 16 lbs 4 oz (51.4%), Head Circumference: 16 in (5.78%)…still have a small head but again Dr. Martin says that’s just fine.

You cried lots after your shots but you were asleep within two minutes of buckling you in the car seat.  You slept and sniffled the whole way home:(

BUT, you are feeling much better now….

happy now

There is the smile I love!  You can have applesauce and bananas tonight if you want!

Wesley Kay is 1/2 year old!

And so adorable that we cannot get enough of her!  She is the happiest baby I have ever known and is very social.  She is rolling over and sort of scooting herself across her play blanket.  She sits up supporting herself for a short period of time.  I know before we know it she will be sitting up playing and then shortly after crawling everywhere! She has added sweet potatoes to her diet and for her 1/2 birthday she celebrated with applesauce. She loved it!  She moved to a size three diaper after having a blow out that ended up on me and her bouncy seat.  Luckily nothing was of the sort that couldn’t be washed.  She still sleeps very well and naps very short:)  And takes on average about 30 ounces/day…over 5 bottles.  For her 6 month birthday, Nana gave her a talking and singing puppy dog that makes her laugh!  It’s fun to watch her interact with it.  She still watches Baby Einstein and if you come between her and the TV she might give you a look like, “You make a better door than a window!”  Like I said, we can’t get enough of her.  Enjoy all of her pictures because I couldn’t choose just one to post.

Wesley Kay is 5 months old!

...about 2 1/2 weeks ago. I wish I knew how to back date posts but nonetheless, better late than never! Girl, you turned 5 months old and the very next day decided it was time to roll over! Of course when we're all standing over you, you won't show out but I promise you are a roll over machine. And you're eating oatmeal, carrots, squash, green beans and sweet peas. You just love to smile and "talk" with a mouthful. You've even mastered blowing your vegetable of choice all over Mommy! We are having sooo much fun it's very hard for me to go to work, however, Daddy still sends me a video or picture of you every morning that I'm away from you. Isn't he the best?!?! We love you!!
