October Fun 2014

Looking back at last year and this year, October is turning out to be one of the most eventful months for us. Eventful as in, so many fun things lined up!
First there was race for the cure. Always a good time!

And then there was Timberfest. Look at you and your cousins! We can understand the true size of this truck with you three in the picture.

And then Mom and Dad went to San Antonio for a pre-anniversary celebration and bday party for Lauren.

How about a little home cooked 'hibachi' for our true 4 year anniversary dinner? Dad made some of our favorites!

This Razorback game was a real bummer! We played Georgia. Well, I use the term 'played' loosely. We just haven't gotten it together yet....but we will!

We picked flowers from the landscaping. See it there beside you?

Me, you and Nana had a good time while Daddy was in South Dakota. He went pheasant hunting again. They had a great time but he was so happy to see you after being gone.

You still love apples....

And the pumpkin patch! Oh my do you love the pumpkin patch?!?! I love the pumpkin patch! There is so much for your 21 month old self to do. Petting zoo, pig races, hay ride, hay maze, and of course pick out the perfect pumpkin.

That you decorated with these cute stickers...because you love stickers right now too!  And then there was this!

The choo choo train at the ZOO! Yep, you made your first trip to the zoo! Huge fan! This pic does not say so but you were just overwhelmed at first.

Here is a good picture of you hugging the animal behind the fence.  You wanted to hug all of the animals...even the bears!

I love this expression when you snagged a "fish."
You and Nana tried really hard at the cake walk.  You didn't win anything this year but I'm positive you will in the future!

Look at this zombie sneaking up on you at Sue and Aunt Jane's Halloween party!

You are becoming quite the animal lover. There you were getting love from a stray cat. It was a pretty stray.

Look at these cute bumble bees buzzing around the cutest pumpkin in the patch!

And we can't forget the carival at First Baptist Church!  You had a blast!  Especially on the tilt-a-whirl bears.

So long October!  Hello November!

Space Station

Call us space geeks or whatever but it was pretty cool watching the International Space Station fly over Monday night. Me and Scott thought for sure that we had spotted it. Zoe kept saying no. When you see it you will know that's it. And sure enough as soon as we could see it we just knew. It's very cool to think there are people living up there and just traveling around in space and here I am sitting at work blogging about how cool that must be! Wesley, I want you to dream big but please stay in this galaxy😊

San Antonio

We decided to take a 30th birthday trip with Lauren...she's four year's younger than me.  Yikes!  Nevertheless, happy birthday Lauren! We had a great time and good weather too!  We don't like going anywhere without Wesley but this was adults only and Wesley got a lot of quality time with Nana, Papaw and Nim.  Trust me!  She did not miss out!
We enjoyed many things about our trip!  I especially enjoyed dinner at the Tower of the America's.  The restaurant sits just below the observation deck and rotates 360 degrees in two hours.  You really get a great view of San Antonio as well as a nice sunset view.  The dinner was delicious and the company was even better!  We can't wait to plan another weekend getaway!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

This was Wesley's second year to participate in Little Rock's Susan G Komen Race for the Cure. She was a little more active this year and I think it was all somewhat eye opening for her.  There is ALOT that goes on and alot to see at the race! I run in the competitive race and finished 64th this year! My goal was top 100. I finished in 25:15 and was very pleased with this!  And both shoes came untied...whatever, rookie mistake;) Wesley, Nana, Papaw, Joy, Madison and Regan supported our cause in the 2K. They did awesome!  Then we were able to watch Nana in the survivors parade. It is my favorite part of the day!
All three girls, pretty in pink!

I love our annual group picture by the giant pink ribbon!
Kissing my medal! One day I think you will get your very own medal.

The elite three amigos!  All with medals!

Ring around the Rosie!

Maybe the three of you will be "elite" runners one day!

Isn't this the best?!?! We love Nana and Non!!

Those 2K's will get ya if you're not careful!

This was before the race in 2013....sweet memories!

October!

Already?!?! Yup. It's time to start gearing up for deer season. Wesley, your Daddy has been geared up for a few weeks now.  He wouldn't think so but he has. We have been feeding the deer in our back yard for several weeks.  And one of the cutest things is to see your reaction when you actually spot them.  Here you are one morning this week.

We think it's so cute that you tell them hi. You actually say "hey durr!"

And look!

Daddy gave you some binoculars to check them out. Gotta be sure they pass all rules and regulations to be a "shooter."  You will understand this statement more in due time.
We love that it's October and all things that come with the fall season! Can't wait for the upcoming holidays!!

Morning Pictures

Some folks wake early in the morning to get a first look at the sunrise. Some of these folks are even up early to get a good picture of it all.

I, on the other hand, wake earlier than the sunrise four days per week for work. Although sunrises can often be breathtaking, I am not anxiously waiting on this for a picture. I am anxiously waiting on my morning picture from Daddy.  Wesley, since you were 13 weeks old and I returned to work, your Daddy has sent either a picture or video of you each of my working mornings.
They always bring a smile to my face and usually make me anxious to get back home to pick you up from Mimi's.
Sometimes your Nana comes over in the mornings to allow your Daddy to leave the house earlier.  I know she cherishes these mornings with you!  She is so great to also send us a picture or three!!

How cute are you in the AM?!?!?

Here is a compilation from Daddy.
I can't take credit for any of these sunrise pictures but your Daddy and Nana need lots of credit for making me smile while I make my work days!  Their pictures are more priceless than a sunrise pic...even one from the beach!

Go Hogs Go!

We went to Fayetteville this weekend to root the Hogs to another victory. It was a "cupcake" team as your Poppa might say but so much fun nonetheless!

This was your second game Wesley and Reagan and Madison's first. I think it was a great time for all three of you! The Wells family hosted us again in their suite.

You spend a lot of your time playing with all of the other little girls...things like Ring Around the Rosie, front rolls, gymnastics, peek a boo, etc.

How's that view Wesley?? The loud cannon and fireworks didn't bother you at all. Keep 'em coming!
It's too bad you all cooperated for this picture and the lighting did not. This is you, Ellison, Madison, Rivers, Reagan and Ruby. Cute, cute!

And what's a trip to NWA without some shopping?? Of course we made it to Cabela's! But Momma got to hit some of her favorite places too. You scored some new digs as well!

Not a tractor but you're Daddy would love it if you would ask Santa for a new tractor. You do love Tec the Friendly Tractor and have been saying tractor for some time now. I'm not sure this is approved for a 20 month old though!

Finally a good picture of you rolling and twisting your tongue! You and your Daddy's best trick!
I love you two Hog fans!!!
